Based on the feedback of readers, they tell me they get inspiration to go create in their life, positive input to reflect on, and learn new ways to see the world. Thanks for your great question Gene! What do you think is valuable in the realm of writing/content?
Hope that works out for you! I'm not yet in the position of writing a novel. The short essay format works well for me right now. Not sure how you feel about the concept of faith, but I think when there is a vision and intention and then continued work...then things have a way of coming together. What kind of Novel are you wanting to write? Have you drafted one working from your heart? That's probably the best advice I ever got was to put heart and soul into every work. (and a bit of humour) The way I see what I do is a bit of a catalyst which is not quite the same as being a novelist. Yet life offers opportunities for us to surprise ourselves. Let me know what you're working on and if you need feedback, cover art, audiobook recording or what have you. I love the creative process!
That's pretty much how I relate with faith. It's mind boggling, there is a higher intelligence at work that seems random. Yet, good people attract good people...and good people get confronted with bullies and others in the dark triad. I would also love to settle into a place where I can curl up with books. Right now I am simply doing everything I can to survive/make ends meet in an increasingly expensive world. In terms of writing myths....I seemed to have lived through some pretty unbelievable stuff...which is what I am planning to send out in the paid versions because it was actually pretty scary stuff. I could never have made up my life. It dawned on me on several hikes that life is living me, and my choices have a lot of impacts and consequences which I keep learning from. I feel silly writing most of this to you as I sense you have a lot more experience than me, but I do not know your story yet...which is why I hoped you were writing a novel!
