Comment au prescient! I love this poem! How it addresses current events, yet written years ago. Certainly the poem addresses my personal bias of mind/heart, and the problem with thinking.
That tends to be one of the more difficult part about these: how long ago they were written. As if the heart and mind was already woven in the fabric of what was to come or be. Troubles my beliefs in free will a great deal. Thank you for your comments Savory!
So, yes, if the heart and mind were woven into the fabric of what was to come, free will seems diminished. The axiom "What we see is who we are" is strengthened.
It would be a deeper benefit for the projector to own their trespass...it's more beneficial for the one who sees beauty to infiltrate life than the manipulator to make the lover internalise their spite.
Yes...truly that would be the net gain for all! Rather than project on some other manipulator, I choose to accept that my own manipulation of the world comes from a lack of finding beauty within...so that is where I need to look for it! The feedback from the world will indicate my progress finding it.

That's an interesting point and makes understanding what happens in relationships intensely eye opening. Thank you for commenting.
This is what makes forgiveness of others such a powerful tool for healing oneself.
