One of the more difficult things to do is summarize all the thinking that went into making anything. I’ll either say too little or too much. So here I would like to show you a behind the scenes of the making of one of the images of Mouvements (utopian visions). The purist in me wanted to hold to the original exposure and develop the prints in a darkroom: full analogue. A mentor and professor told me the job of an artist is not only to know the nuances in difference, but to know precisely which differences matter between making something that is, that is kitsch, and that is doing something. And for that reason, the image you see below, became the final result you are more familiar with seeing.
